Marina Stalder

(Miss Stalder)

L.I.D.T.A.

Miss Stalder was born in Luzern, Switzerland where she started her ballet training aged 3 at the Balletschule ‘Scheitlin’.

 

She was inspired by her mother Jacqueline Stalder, a professional ballerina, and her grandfather Josef Stalder who was a Swiss Olympic Gold Medalist and World Champion Gymnast.

Miss Stalder has 18 years teaching experience and continues her professional training with Barbara Sharples.

Miss Stalder  is a qualified IDTA Licentiate Theatre Craft and  Freestyle, and Associate Ballet and Modern, and a mutually recognized teacher of the RAD. She also holds an Acrobatic Arts and Progressing Ballet Technique qualification.

Choreography is one of her passions and she has choreographed numerous solos, duets, trios and groups for national and international competitions and events.

She is a member of the committee of the Barbara Sharples Choreographic Award, is involved with the organisation of the IDTA Theatre Awards and runs a number of shows and events as co-director of Stalder Productions Ltd

 

She founded Stalder Academy of Dance in January 2006 with the aim to provide students with the best possible training in all core subjects of the performing arts in a caring and safe environment.
